Attorney Ahn Byung-han of Hanbyol Law LLC participated as a panelist in the session on the first topic, “Fairness in Sports Doping Regulations and the Protection of Athletes’ Rights.” Attorney Park Seon-ye served as the presenter, and Attorney Ahn, along with Professor Kim Hoon-ju, engaged in the discussion by examining the issues from legal and practical perspectives.

Attorney Ahn Byung-han emphasized the need for procedural safeguards in doping regulations, the proportionality of disciplinary measures, consistency with international norms, the expansion of remedies available to athletes, and ensuring transparency in evidence and procedures. He also proposed directions for institutional improvements, such as refining review and appeal procedures and establishing a system for specialized legal support, and outlined legal challenges for establishing a fair and sustainable sports ecosystem.
