"XX looks like XX" in front of coworkers... with or without a medical certificate...
A coworker kicks your chair in the office and refuses to apologize. He repeatedly called her an "XX looking XX" and shoved her with his torso.
The perpetrator has been demanding a settlement to avoid criminal penalties, but the victim is frustrated and angry and wonders how much she should get. Lawyers agree that going to the hospital and getting a medical certificate now is key to determining the size of the settlement.
Cursing and body slamming return in apology demand
The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Feb. 2, in what was supposed to be an uneventful office.
It started when a coworker, Mr. A, kicked another employee's chair in transit and left without apologizing. The offended employee demanded an apology, but A ignored him.
When Mr. B tried to defuse the situation, sparks flew. Mr. A shouted profanities at Mr. B and threatened him, saying, "Let's see how this goes." When Mr. B stood up to leave, Mr. A's verbal abuse reached a fever pitch.
He insulted Mr. B by yelling "follow me to the front gym" and "you look like XX" in front of several employees. It didn't stop there, as Mr. A lunged at Mr. B and physically assaulted him, intentionally punching him in the torso.
The situation was ugly, with coworkers around the gym chiming in...
